摘要 : China’s insurance market has been developing rapidly since the 1980s. Regulation of the insurance industry has developed along with the market. This paper provides an overview of the evolution and current status of China’s insurance regulatory system. As illustrated in the paper, its progress toward modernizing insurance supervision makes China a fascinating case study and a valuable example to emerging insurance markets.
