2025 CHINA CONFERENCE
ON INSURANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT (CCIRM 2025)
The 15th annual China Conference on Insurance and Risk Management (CCIRM 2025) will be held on July 9-12, 2025 at Academic Exchange Center of Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China. The conference are organized by China Center for Insurance and Risk Management of Tsinghua SEM, and co-organized by Institute of Statistics and Data Science, Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics; School of Finance, Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics.
The CCIRM 2025 will include a live-stream virtual component, and attendees can join either in person or online.
Since 2010, the CCIRM has served as the premier annual international conference for the fields of insurance and risk management in China. CCIRM attendees will have the opportunity to hear from distinguished speakers, exchange ideas with leading international researchers, and present and discuss recent academic and practical research. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
The CCIRM 2025 will cover topics related to insurance, risk management, and actuarial science. Research related to specific aspects of Chinese markets and government programs is especially welcome, and parallel sessions will be organized in both English and Chinese.
Topics for submission may include (but are not limited to):
- Development and regulation of insurance markets
- Insurance economics
- Theory and practice of risk management
- Property and liability insurance
- Life and health insurance
- Pension and social security
- Actuarial science
- Behavioral insurance
- InsurTech and related technology issues
- Green insurance and economic sustainability
Abstract Submission
Abstracts may be submitted in either English or English/Chinese (i.e., bilingual). Conference participants whose abstracts are accepted will be encouraged to make their oral presentations in English.
All abstracts must be submitted via email attachment to ccirm@sem.tsinghua.edu.cn. Please prepare your abstract as a MS-Word file (.doc or .docx) and named with your names and abstract title, formatted using the conference’s abstract template attached.

All abstract submitters will be informed of the Program Committee’s decision by email. Please write to us at ccirm@sem.tsinghua.edu.cn if you have not received an email notification by May 10, 2025.
Oral Presentation
Oral presentation will be 30 minutes long and consist of a 20-minute talk followed by 6 minutes for discussion and 4 minutes for both audience questions and presenter transition.
The CCIRM 2025 will be presented in a hybrid format with the option for speakers unable to travel to the conference to present remotely during their scheduled times. This format will be facilitated using Zoom OR Tencent Meeting.
Each session will be held in a unique online conference room. At least one day prior to the scheduled session, the moderator and all presenters for that session will receive a message include the details of online conference room. The Zoom / Tencent Meeting link will be sent to each presenter for each session.
The Doctoral Forum
The Doctoral Forum is a special series of sessions running parallel to the regular conference presentation sessions. It provides an opportunity for Ph.D. candidates to receive constructive feedback and valuable advice on their research from invited discussants in their particular field. Ph.D. candidates are strongly encouraged to participate actively in the Doctoral Forum, and those interested are asked to indicate "I hope to participate in the Doctoral Forum" when making their submissions.
Best Paper Award
The conference will reward excellent papers as follows:
- Best Paper Award of the China Conference on Insurance and Risk Management: The conference will set up four major awards—Best Chinese Paper in Insurance and Risk Management, Best English Paper in Insurance and Risk Management, Best Chinese Paper in Actuarial and Quantitative Analysis, and Best English Paper in Actuarial and Quantitative Analysis. Each award-winning paper will receive a ¥2500 prize. The selection will be conducted by independent reviews from members of the conference’s Academic Committee.
- Honorary Award for Excellent Papers of the China Conference on Insurance and Risk Management: The Insurance and Risk Management group and the Actuarial and Quantitative Analysis group will each select three Honorary Award winners for excellent papers. The selection will be conducted by independent reviews from members of the conference’s Academic Committee.
- All awarded English papers will be recommended to the Risk Sciences journal for anonymous peer review. Submission link: https://www.editorialmanager.com/risks/default2.aspx
- All awarded Chinese papers will be recommended to the Insurance Studies for anonymous peer review.
Full Paper Submission
All full papers must be submitted via email attachment to ccirm@sem.tsinghua.edu.cn. Please prepare your full paper as a MS-Word file (.doc or .docx) and named with your names and full paper title.
Deadline for full-paper submission: June 15, 2025.
Please note: All full papers submitted to the conference will be utilized primarily for oral presentations, feedback from discussants during parallel sessions, and the selection of outstanding papers. Authors who do not submit full papers will not be eligible for consideration for the Best Paper Award. Additionally, discussants in parallel sessions reserve the right to withhold comments on oral presentations if authors either fail to submit their full papers or submit them with substantial delays.
Conference Proceedings
Authors who wish to publish their papers in the conference proceedings must format their full papers according to the template provided by the conference before submission.

Full papers can be written in either Chinese or English. For papers written in Chinese, the following information must also be included in English within the manuscript: paper title, abstract, keywords, author contact information (name, mailing address, phone number, and email), and references.
Special Note: If the original references are in Chinese, please translate them into English, delete the original Chinese versions, retain only the English translations, and indicate “(in Chinese)” after each translated reference. For specific formatting requirements, please refer to the full paper template.
The Proceedings of the 2025 International Conference on Insurance and Risk Management in China will be formally published by Tsinghua University Press with an ISBN. Each paper included in the proceedings will also be assigned a unique DOI code by the China Academic Journals (CD Edition) Electronic Publishing House.
At least one author of each paper accepted for inclusion in the proceedings must register for the conference and deliver a presentation.
The Organizing Committee will notify authors of accepted papers via email by September 1, 2025.
Deadline for early-bird registration is May 31, 2025.
