The 3rd China International Conference on Insurance and Risk Management will be held from July 18 (Wednesday) to July 21 (Saturday), 2012 at the Copthorne Hotel Qingdao in China's Shandong province. The conference is jointly organized by Tsinghua University's China Center for Insurance and Risk Management (CCIRM) and the Cass Business School of City University, London, and School of Economics of Qingdao University is the joint-organizer.

The 2012 CICIRM follows upon the successful 2nd annual conference held in Beijing (July 2011), and offers a Chinese forum for international communication and cooperation in the studies of insurance, risk management, and actuarial science. CICIRM attendees will have the opportunity to hear from distinguished speakers, present recent academic and practical research in concurrent sessions, and exchange ideas with leading international researchers.
The theme for this year's conference is “Risk, Insurance and the Future Society”.

Presentation topics should address issues of current importance in insurance, risk management, actuarial science, and related areas. Research related to specific aspects of Chinese markets and government programs is especially welcome, and concurrent sessions will be organized in both English and Chinese.
Possible topics for submission include, but are not limited to:

- Risk Management Theory and Practice
- Property and Liability Insurance
- Life and Health Insurance
- Pensions and Social Security
- Actuarial Science
Submissions may be made in English or Chinese, but all full papers must include title, abstract, authors' name, authors' contact information (address), and references in English. The proceedings of CICIRM 2012 will be published by Tsinghua University Press, and submitted for indexing by CPCI (ISTP). All papers should be formatted using the format template (download). The template also be found on the conference website (http://www.ccirm.org/conference/2012). Submissions should be made both through the conference website and by email (ccirm@sem.tsinghua.edu.cn).
