The 4th China International Conference on Insurance and Risk Management will be held from July 17th (Wednesday) to July 20th (Saturday), 2013 at the Expo Garden Hotel, Kunming, in China's Yunnan province. The conference is organized by Tsinghua University’s China Center for Insurance and Risk Management (CCIRM) and the Cass Business School of City University, London, and jointly organized by Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. The 2013 CICIRM follows upon the successful meeting held in Qingdao (July 2012), which launched an annual forum in China for international communication and cooperation in the studies of insurance, risk management, and actuarial science. CICIRM attendees will have the opportunity to hear from distinguished speakers, present recent academic and practical research in concurrent sessions, and exchange ideas with leading international researchers.

2013 Keynote Speakers

Presentation topics should address issues of current importance in insurance, risk management, actuarial science, and related areas. Research related to specific aspects of Chinese markets and government programs is especially welcome and concurrent sessions will be organized in both English and Chinese.

Possible topics for submission include, but are not limited to:

  • Insurance market and regulation

Abstracts Submissions

Abstracts can be submitted in English. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee. Program Committee Secretary will inform the abstract submitter about the acceptance of submitted abstracts by e-mail. (Please contact Program Committee Secretary via email ccirm@sem.tsinghua.edu.cn if you have not received your e-mail notification by 30 April 2013). The abstract submitter is responsible for informing all co-authors about the status of the abstract.

Oral presentations

The Conference participants whose abstracts are accepted will be encouraged to contribute oral or poster presentations in English.

Oral presentations will consist of a 20 minute talk including a 5 minute discussion by discussant. Please indicate which session you would like to contribute. Please note that time slots for oral presentations are limited and therefore oral presentations will be assigned on a competitive basis.

Poster presentations

Posters will be displayed during the whole Parallel Sessions.

FULL PAPER SUBMISSION

Full paper submissions are accepted in English or Chinese, but all full papers submitted must have a title, an abstract, keywords, all authors’ contact information (including full first given names, postal addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses), and references in English. All submitted full papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee. Accepted full paper of the Conference participants will be included in the proceedings of CICIRM 2013, which will be published by Tsinghua University Press and submitted for indexing by CPCI (ISTP). Program Committee Secretary will inform the full paper submitter about the acceptance of submitted full paper by e-mail. The full paper submitter is responsible for informing all co-authors about the status of the full paper.

All abstracts and full papers should be formatted using the templates attached to the Call for Papers.
