The 5th China International Conference on Insurance and Risk Management (CICIRM 2014) will be held on July 23-26, 2014 at Ping An School of Financial Service in Shenzhen, China’s Guangdong Province. The conference was jointly organized by Tsinghua University’s China Center for Insurance and Risk Management (CCIRM) and the Cass Business School of City University, London, and hosted by Ping An School of Financial Service. Following upon the last four years’ successful meetings in Xining (July 19-22, 2010), in Beijing (July 24-27, 2011), in Qingdao (July 18-21, 2012), and in Kunming (July 17-20, 2013), CICIRM 2014 continues to launch an annual forum in China for international communication and cooperation in the studies of insurance, risk management, and actuarial science.

 

The CICIRM is the unique international conference in the field of insurance and risk management in China. CICIRM attendees will have the opportunity to hear from distinguished speakers, exchange ideas with leading international researchers, present recent academic and practical research in parallel sessions, and discuss the latest academic and practical research on current importance within the field of insurance, risk management and actuarial science. The Conference Proceedings have been accepted for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) since 2011. The proceedings of CICIRM 2014 will continue to be published by Tsinghua University Press and submitted for indexing by CPCI.

                                                                   Submission Guidelines                                                                                

Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously. The conference will cover topics related to insurance, risk management and actuarial science. Research related to specific aspects of Chinese markets and government programs is especially welcome.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Abstracts can be submitted in English, Chinese or both. All abstracts should be submitted electronically as a file attachment in Word (.doc) format and formatted using the conference abstract template. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee. The Conference participants whose abstracts are accepted will be encouraged to contribute oral presentations in English. We will inform the abstract submitter about the acceptance of submitted abstracts by e-mail. Please contact us via email ccirm@sem.tsinghua.edu.cn if you have not received your e-mail notification by April 30, 2014. The abstract submitter is responsible for informing all co-authors about the status of the abstract. All accepted abstracts will be saved on USB flash drive and distributed to all registrants at the start of the conference.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Parallel sessions will be organized in both English and Chinese. Oral presentations will consist of a 15 minute talk followed by a 5 minute discussion. Please indicate to which session you would like to contribute. Please note that time slots for oral presentations are limited and therefore oral presentations will be assigned on a competitive basis.

 

FULL PAPER SUBMISSION

Full paper submissions are accepted in English or Chinese, but all full papers submitted must have a title, an abstract, keywords, all authors’ contact information (including full first given names, postal addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses), and references in English. All full papers must be submitted electronically as a file attachment in Word (.doc) format and formatted using the conference full paper template.

All submitted full papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee. Accepted paper will be considered for publication after the conference. At least one author per paper is required to register and attend the conference to present the paper if accepted for publication. We will inform the paper submitter about the acceptance of submitted paper by e-mail. Please contact us via email ccirm@sem.tsinghua.edu.cn if you have not received your e-mail notification by September 1, 2014. The full paper submitter is responsible for informing all co-authors about the status of the paper.
